This is why I enjoy oil paints you can change paintings so drastically, and paint over areas that you didn't like.I was never quite happy with this painting and it went through 4 transformations before I was.I would be interested to know which one of these appeals to you.

All well done, Roger, But I really like A and B. And yes, you are fortunate to be able to "transform" the oils so relatively easily.

Difficult to make a choice. At home my husband prefers A, and personally I like the B, what a dilemma! Perhaps get closer to the environment in which this animal is supposed to take a nap if you wish to make a realistic work?

Hi Roger--I like A the best. I think it's the warmest in tone. The detailed ones really show how great the camouflage of the leopard is but the leopard gets last in it too. A the cat stands out nicely. Background is always soooo tricky.

Hi Stephanie,yes that's exactly why I changed the background,I didn't want the background to compete with the leopard.That is why I went from B to D then C but the background was just a little bit too plain in C so finally I created A.

I'm coming in late here! I love the richness of the coat in both A and C and although I know that leopards enjoy the camouflage of trees, I think my vote is a contrary C.
