Chasing Shadows

Chasing Shadows
6x8 Inches
Oil on board

Chasing shadows was inspired by a local, annual horse race that takes place here in Maun.It has become quite a big event among the locals ,who flock in large numbers to the event to cheer their favorite horse. There are no permanent grandstands or seats,so most people stands along the edge of the dusty track watching and cheering.

After selling two small paintings last year on this blog,I realised firsthand that it was possible to sell artwork online.I have therefore decided to sell my smaller works such as this painting online at www.dailypaintworks.com / Roger Brown Gallery. I really hope this endeavour works out since I hate chasing shadows.

Hi Roger
Your directional strokes leading into the center certainly create an image of intensity that gives this life and energy of the moment.

Really cool that you've made these scintillating artworks available for us to peruse before purchase. And it's rather wise on your part to maintain a site. That is always the first step towards building your art and yourself as an online brand. It's an identity that you etch at the landscape of the internet, and a pretty long-term spot in the cybermarket. Good deal!
